ASB around The Agricultural Centre Bakewell

Are your kids part of the large group who are  hanging out around by the Agricultural Centre, Bakewell in an evening?  If so, this info might be for your awareness to have a chat with your kids...

We have been made aware that a large group of youths are going to the area on their bikes and scooters in an evening around 1900 for the last couple of weeks.  The staff at the Agricultural Centre have no issue with this. However, the same youths are also leaving large amounts of rubbish, sweet wrappers, drinks bottles, ice cream wrappers in the door way, just a few feet away from the nearest bins. 

Sweets have been left on the surrounding pavements to melt in the heat, tomato sauce and sweets have been thrown at the windows.  Picnic tables are being moved, risking damage to both them and the kids involved.   The staff are having to clean all this up, wash the windows and put the picnic tables back before starting their days work.   

The Agricultural Centre is a great open space where our kids have always been welcome to use the open space to play on their bikes and scooters, if this behaviour continues they may well be less welcoming!!  There is cctv in the area and patrols will be carried out.  Please speak to your kids and ask them to be respectful of the area otherwise they may well be stopped from going there.
